I bought this product to replace the plastic cone that my cat had been wearing for several days after having surgery on one of her back legs. So far, it's been far superior to the plastic cone. You don't need to removed it when cat eating, and he can only licked the tail.

I got my cat neutered and was using a soft cone for him, but I found the cone made it hard for him to eat and drink comfortably. I purchased this and he could eat and drink just fine and loved lounging around.
